Beauty School: Emma Watson

Emma Watson

Emma represented us Brits at the VMA awards pairing a bright and colourful dress with bubblegum pink lips and an on-trend bun accented with a gorgeous thin hair braid. Read on to find out how to get Emma’s laid back beauty look.

Hypnose mascara, £21, Lancome

Eyes

Emma has emphasised her chocolate brown eyes with long, fluttery and dramatic eyelashes. Ditch the falsies and use the iconic Hypnose mascara by Lancome, also a firm favourite with Kate Middleton. For a more dramatic look, apply several coats and add some black eyeliner to make eyes look bigger.

La-tweez illuminated tweezers, £7.96, www.wellbury.co.uk

Eyebrows

Copy Emma’s immaculate eyebrows and either get them shaped professionally or save some cash and do it yourself. The best time to pluck your eyebrows is straight after a warm bath or shower, as that’s when your pores are open and hairs are softer, meaning they will come out easier. Using La-tweez illuminated tweezers, the bright LED will ensure you get every straggly hair. Follow the natural arch of your brow and remember – don’t go too thin, thick brows are in.

Everlasting Foundation, £10.95, www.oriflamestore.co.uk

Skin

It’s a fact of life that we all get the occasional break out or blemish and unfortunately, they do tend to appear at the most inconvenient time, such as right before prom. However, don’t let them ruin your night, simply cover them up with the fab Everlasting Foundation, by Oriflame, £10.95, oriflamestore.co.uk. Apply with clean fingers or a make-up sponge and blend thoroughly to avoid tide marks or obvious patches. Add some pressed powder on top to seal in the make-up and prevent it from sliding off.

Benefit Girl meets pearl, £24.50, Debenhams

For a prom-worthy glow, pat Benefit’s Girl Meets Pearl lightly over make-up. This golden liquid pearl glides on for a breathtaking complexion, perfect for all those prom photos. Emma’s skin always looks immaculate, so follow her lead and take the time to use products that will highlight and improve skin.

MAC lipstick, £13.50, Debenhams

Lips

Bright pink candy lips were all over the catwalk this season and Emma is rocking the look on the red carpet – so why not follow her lead at prom? We found this stunning MAC lipstick, which is a dead ringer for the colour Emma’s wearing. Apply carefully and make sure it hasn’t stained your teeth before you grin for all those photos!
