Punk Couture at the Met Ball 2013

The A-listers were out in force on the 6th of May, as the Met Ball 2013 allowed its star guests to release their inner rock chick with this year’s exhibition theme - Punk: Chaos to Couture; and boy, did they embrace it!

There were safety pins and studs galore, as everyone from Taylor Swift to Kristen Stewart and Beyonce rocked some of the most dramatic looks we have seen this year.

With blacks, tartans and feathers playing a huge role, the celebs went all out with slits, cuts and spikes, as well as adding some edgy accessories – even leather jackets and handbags were embellished with a sprinkle of spikes, and shoes were peppered with studs and skulls.

One of our favourite looks was worn by Blake Lively, who looked stunning in a Gucci Première floor length gown, and we also loved Katie Holmes’ Calvin Klein Collection ensemble.  K-Stew went all out with her red Stella McCartney outfit, as did Christina Ricci who wore Vivienne Westwood Couture. The only person who we’re not quite sure got the memo was Kim Kardashian, who wore a long floral Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci gown…

So, the question is, would you like it if your Prom theme was Punk? Let us know below!
